Soccer Guest is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means it runs in your browser but can be installed to your home screen just like a native app. There's nothing to download from an app store — you always get the latest version automatically.
By choosing to be a web app instead of a native app, we avoid paying the 30% app store fee that Apple and Google charge — savings we pass on to keep Soccer Guest affordable for parents and coaches.
You don't have to install anything — Soccer Guest works great right in your browser. But installing it to your home screen gives you a few extras:
Runs without browser toolbars for a clean, native feel
Notifications appear from Soccer Guest instead of being grouped with your browser's notifications
Launch Soccer Guest with a single tap, just like any other app
No manual updates needed — new features appear automatically
Safari is the only browser that supports installing web apps on iOS.
Soccer Guest will appear on your home screen as an app icon. Tap it to launch in full-screen mode.
Chrome is the recommended browser for installing web apps on Android.
You may also see an install banner at the bottom of the screen — tap it for a quick install.
Most Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, and others) support installing web apps on desktop. Safari and Firefox do not currently support this feature.
Soccer Guest will open in its own window and appear in your taskbar or dock.
Push notifications let you know when you receive a message, a guest playing request, or other important updates — even when Soccer Guest isn't open. When prompted in the app, tap “Allow” to enable them. If you missed the prompt or need to change your settings:
Push notifications on iOS require Soccer Guest to be installed to your home screen (see above). Safari on iOS does not support push notifications for websites — only for installed web apps. Once installed:
Works in Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers:
Safari and Firefox on desktop do not currently support push notifications for web apps.
